I see a lot of speakers/books/movies coming forth with descriptions of 2012 as the “changes of the ages”.  Everything from the whimsical to the apocalyptic.  From Fractal Time Holographic Repatterning to Light Body Awakening to Earth Reversing its Rotation>>>  Well, which is it?

I have been studying the Maya, Ancient Civilizations and prophecies for many years.  I have also been studying consciousness and spirituality, and I know that when there are major changes coming, the best house of protection is the one ‘not made with hands’ but made with the mortar of the SPIRIT.  I have been so careful not to proselytize about spirituality, in that it would sound like a form of religion.  We have enough religion.  What is necessary is BALANCE of spirit and body, heaven and earth, as above so below.  And the Balance is achieved through opening the heart to our true spiritual nature.  No one can tell you fully what that is, but it is you who must open your own heart to the Divine that is within you.

And there is so much distraction, so much information, so much happening so quickly.  Where to turn?

First, let me give you a quote from the Dalai Lama:

"I believe there is an important distinction to be made between religion and spirituality.  Religion I take to be concerned with belief in the claims to salvation of one faith tradition or another – an aspect of which is acceptance of some form of metaphysical or philosophical reality, including perhaps an idea of heaven or hell.  Connected with this are religious teachings or dogma, ritual, prayers and so on.  Spirituality I take to be concerned with those qualities of the human spirit – such as love and compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, a sense of responsibility, a sense of harmony, which bring happiness to both self and others.  While ritual and prayer, along with questions of nirvana and salvation are directly connected with religious faith, these inner qualities need not be, however.  There is thus no reason why the individual should not develop them, even to a high degree, without recourse to any religious or metaphysical belief system.  This is why I sometimes say religion is something we can perhaps do without.  What we cannot do without are these basic spiritual qualities.”

I would like to repeat some of the words I’ve written recently about the Maya:  We are living in a time that several cultures have referenced or prophesied as an era of great change and challenge.  Through the heavy fog of our western technology mindset, we have only dimly grasped what ancient, evolved cultures have given us as a blueprint, a “how to” in embracing the power of this time; a time of great inner change.

It is not a time to “Brace Yourself” from fear, but rather a time to “Embrace Your Self”, as this era represents the means to evolve spiritually further and faster than in any recent epoch of human development.

For many years, I have been giving lectures on the Maya and taking groups every year (since 2005) to the Yucatan and Guatemala to study the Maya from a more spiritual and esoteric perspective.  I’ve worked with a great teacher, Miguel Angel Vergara to study Maya cosmology (the construction of the universe), astronomy, calendrical system based on evolution, and the inner meanings of the 2012 phenomena.  

How better to go through the uncertainty of these times than with a guidebook that has been written in stone?  Initially, the glyphs and stelae of the Maya were thought to be about a superstitious and sacrifice-driven race of people with no real sophistication.  Now, we have matured in our understanding (and still are) of the colossal achievements of the Maya’s grasp of universal mechanics, the evolution of consciousness, and our part in it.

These trips and our presentations are for people interested in the deeper, inner spiritual connection.Miguel andI show you inner Maya teachings in an easy-to-understand manner, while touching upon the depth of the Maya Cosmology but relating it to our current time and conditions.

There is extreme polarity in the world today.  We have the technology to affect great beneficial change in the world, but the motivation and orientation for doing so has been the poison that fueled the terrible problems we face today as the world collective of the human community.
Standing on the same ground at Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Edzna, Calakmul and the many places we’ve been brings forth the collective consciousness  of the inner teachings of the Maya, that you cannot get from a classroom.  The sacred sites (pyramids/structures/sound chambers) in the Yucatan are Cosmic Universities of Spiritual Development.  We do Mayan ceremonies in these places to open the heart, and to join “heart of the sky” and “heart of the earth” within us – to Connect us – to Awaken us.

This is a spiritual journey and it is LOADED with ceremony/ cleansing/ clearing so will attract those aspirants to the path who really want to open their hearts and divest the ego.  The program that Miguel Angel and I have scripted is very sound, but also very powerful.
